State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle

Dear Friends,

Thanksgiving has arrived. We can all agree that this year was not exactly the kind of year we had hoped for or
expected, but the challenges have highlighted the many things we can be truly thankful for.

For one, I am extremely thankful for the extraordinary work and dedication of my entire team at the State Attorney’s Office for all they do every day to help keep our community a safer place to live, work, and raise our families. The team’s ability and willingness to confront and adapt to the “new normal” while keeping the wheels of Smart Justice in motion, is more than inspiring.

I am thankful for everyone in our community who has shown us their support and confidence, despite the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is through our joint efforts that we are able to preserve safety in our community and make a difference in the lives of our children, victims, witnesses, and their families.

So, this Thanksgiving more than ever, it is important to focus on our blessings and to be thankful for everything and
everyone who gives us joy. Wishing you and your loved ones a meaningful and Happy Thanksgiving.

Be healthy. Be safe.

Sincerely,

KFR

Katherine Fernandez Rundle
