Miami – March 21, 2019
“We are aware of the arrest made by Miami Beach Police last night regarding the swastika scrolls discovered around the City of Miami Beach in recent months.
As is our procedure when there is an allegation that a crime has been committed as a result of hate, my Hate Crimes Unit will thoroughly investigate the allegations against Sean Kenna and make a charging determination.
My prosecutor was successful this morning in having the defendant’s bond increased to $120,000 with house arrest and GPS. The Court also issued a Stay- away Order from 30th Street North to 63rd Street from the Ocean to the Bay at our request.
There is no place for hate in our community.
My prosecution team and I will be discussing this arrest to determine the appropriate course of action as to all of the counts.”
