Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle joins a chorus of national leaders encouraging all drivers to, “Drive sober or get pulled over!” According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly 30 people around the country die in drunk-driving crashes — that’s one person every 50 minutes—on a daily basis. Recent NHTSA information further revealed roughly 814 drunk driving fatalities occurred in Florida. Safe streets are a major part of safe communities. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office is committed to protecting residents and prosecuting offenders that endanger their safety.
