Miami Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle is headed to our Nation’s capital today to join the District and State Attorneys of the national organization “Prosecutors Against Gun Violence” (PAGV) for a two-day Emergency Summit to discuss pending gun legislation.
The non-partisan coalition will focus on topics to include the Gun Violence Prevention Order Act and Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, among others.
“Gun violence plagues every jurisdiction in America,” said State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. “It is our hope that the united voices of prosecutors from across our country will help inform legislators and advocates about the urgent need for legislation and enforcement”.
The PAGV group was formed to address the issue of gun violence in the United States as concerns mount over shootings and mass killings. State Attorney Fernandez Rundle is a founding member of the group co-chaired by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. and Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer. Other members include attorneys from several major metropolitan jurisdictions including Miami, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston and Milwaukee.
