
Recognizing that human traffickers are continually honing the approaches and techniques that are the foundation of their ugly business, State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle’s 6th Annual Human Trafficking Forum is intended to inspire, educate and bring deeper awareness to those involved in fighting this crime. The forum titled Healing the Wounds will be held on Thursday, January 26th at 2pm at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s DTC. Carlos Migoya (President and CEO of Jackson Health System and Dr. Steven M. Altschuler (CEO of UM Health) have partnered with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office in hosting this event which brings together stakeholders, service providers, victims’ advocates, lawmakers, educators, medical professionals, community leaders, law enforcement and the judiciary to discuss innovative strategies for combating Human Trafficking.
