Statement from State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle:
“The disturbing video of looters click here taking advantage of those in our community hit by Irma has been shared many times across our country.
I want all of my Miami-Dade community to know that my office, in collaboration with City of Miami police, have investigated those crimes and arrests have been made.
Even when all of us are working on our recovery, my SAO team and our law enforcement partners are working to make sure that those who would exploit human tragedy are held accountable.
Please know that we will prosecute anyone who preys on our community at this most difficult of times to the fullest extent of the law.
Stay safe.”
